Various sizes. Spring water, glass, cotton threads dyed with natural dyes, root, shards of mirrors.
I have been collecting water from a spring in the forest for about two years. It became part of a ritual. That same water is suspended in a root, from which cotton threads dyed with natural pigments such as earth, seeds and tree bark emerge. On the floor are shards of mirrors that are scattered throughout the exhibition space.
The last spring. Last forest. Lung of the Earth. Connected roots.
Decimated forests. Decimated springs. Fragmented water mirrors.
Consciousness before the broken reflection.
No matter how many shards a mirror breaks into, it will always reflect back, it’s a chance to see again. Another look, deeper, more aware.
